Baker Street
I’ve just spent the past week in London working from our new British headquarters on Baker Street.
Yes, that’s right, that Baker Street.
It’s not often you can say you share a professional address with Sherlock Holmes, but, now, I guess I can.
221b Baker Street was where the Great Detective, Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr. John Watson shared rooms, looked after by the redoubtable Mrs. Hudson. It was also the address where the adventures started in the tales written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. We like to think at Mount Bonnell that our Baker Street address is also were the adventure starts. We may not be investigating mysteries but, we hope you’ll agree, our adventures can be just as thrilling.
Like Mr. Holmes we are here for people who have problems, dilemmas, worries. The difficulties we deal with are around moving business and lives for our clients across the Atlantic. People are busy; entrepreneurs busier than most and come to us with some straightforward “mysteries” to solve. The also bring with them a range of challenges that we can help with too. Just like Sherlock Holmes, we like to solve “mysteries” too.

Even if you just expand your business into the US that challenge and its rewards are equally thrilling.
Sitting writing this on Baker Street, maybe it’s time to close the book of Conan Doyle stories and start writing my own adventures with the clients of Mount Bonnell. To be honest that makes me more excited than any fiction.
Although Baker Street is in the very centre of London’s West End, it also feels very international. It has any amount of train stations – both local and national – near by – Kings Cross International train station is a short taxi ride away. Plus our office is close to Paddington where the fast trains arrive from Heathrow airport.
Baker Street is adjoined to the south by the famous Oxford Street. To the north Baker Street enters Regents Park, an ancient park, in past times the preserve of nobles to hunt in. Around us everywhere is culture, fashion and education: from the Royal Academy of Music to the celebrated Wallace Collection art gallery, from some of the capital’s trendiest shops and restaurants on Marylebone High Street to the London Business School. This is city quarter that is, for me, like no other in London so rich is its past history and present opportunity. It is also a part of the city once more becoming a much-sought-after place to live in. The whole district has a buzz that we think you’ll enjoy when you come to visit us.
And I hope that is soon. This is our London base now, that means for Mount Bonnell clients it’s “home” too.
